Building a Bridge for the Future/Building the Gap
Capital Campaign
In 2002 St. Joseph embarked upon Building a Bridge for the Future, a capital campaign designed to raise $7,000,000 to fund the building of a family center, middle school and additional gymnasium. In addition the campaign helped to fund the upgrades to St. Joseph school, which provided space for a preschool. The additional facilities helped to ensure the continuation of ministering to the spiritual needs of countless people of all faiths from Sylvania and beyond.
Over 1,000 donors demonstrated enthusiasm for the campaign's objectives, and by the summer of 2006 construction was completed. Many faithful families have completed their pledges or are nearing the completion of their pledge payments. This is a magnificent tribute to the faithfulness and generous spirit of St. Joseph parishioners and friends. We will be forever grateful for every gift received.
But we also ask for your continuing attention to the objectives of Building a Bridge for the Future. Although the formal solicitations have concluded, we still have nearly a $3 million mortgage and several projects on our wish list remain to be funded. Fr. Metzger and Kim Koesters in our Development Office are ready to discuss with our friends any gift arrangement you may wish to consider.
