The Endowment Fund of St. Joseph School was established to fund projects and provide scholarship money for families with financial need. The investments of the fund are closely monitored by a board of trustees.
A financial endowment is an investment fund set up for the donation of money or property with the stipulation that the fund be invested and the principal remain intact. The donation has a greater impact over a longer period of time than if it were spent all at once, due to compounding interest.
The St. Joseph School endowment is funded by donations from bi-annual offertory collections, gifts in memory of a loved one and donations to mark a major life event. Any amount of money can be donated to the Endowment Fund and all gifts are greatly appreciated.
Many donors are eligible for tax benefits however donors of endowed funds should work with their attorneys and accountants in order to take advantage of tax benefits available to them. Also, many of our contributors tell us that they receive a great amount of satisfaction knowing that they are ensuring that our Catholic school remains an educational choice for the families of our parish.
