Curriculum
St. Joseph School's curriculum is based upon the Courses of Study issued by the Superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Diocese of Toledo and approved by the Ohio Department of Education. The areas of academic concentration are Religion, reading, language arts, mathematics, science, health and social studies. All students receive instruction in the special areas of music, art, and physical education. St. Joseph School also has a foreign language component (Spanish) for students in grades K-8. Technology is integrated throughout the curriculum and students also recieve instruction in computer literacy skills. |
Educational Services Religious Education In addition to the core curriculum, special educational services meet the many needs of We exist as a school because of our commitment to religious education. Our primary purpose is to promote the development of a responsible Christian way of life. The Diocesan Course of Study serves as the guideline for the religion curriculum. Students receive 30-45 minutes of religious instruction daily in addition to preparation for and participation in student liturgies.
